The power of community is on display at Horace Mann Elementary School. Students walk by in awe and amazement and cannot wait to dive in and help see their ideas come to life as Ivy Tech students lay the ground work of the new mural in the Horace Mann Cafeteria.
Ivy Tech students retrieved survey submissions from Horace Mann Elementary students to find out what it means to be a Husky. Through this process students created rough sketches to represent the results. Select Horace Mann Elementary students will have the opportunity to paint and have ownership in the mural!
"It is really cool to see our ideas come to life!" a Horace Mann Student states. The 'oohs and ahhhs' echo through the hallways as students pass the mural. Students eagerly awaited their turn to help paint the mural. A student paints "Dream Big!" in bold letters with all the confidence in the world. "I cannot wait to come back here and show my kids what I have painted!" Students will cherish these moments for a lifetime.
