Crestview Families,

As we begin our last week of remote learning, we again want to thank you for all of your support during this time. The challenges of the last couple of months are something that none of us anticipated, but we want to recognize the effort that all of our families have given to further the education of our students - Thank you!!

Remote Learning

During this last week of Remote Learning Lessons, please continue to check on your child’s progress and help us make sure that all of their lessons have been submitted. All lessons are due at 11:59 PM on Friday, May 22nd. Please double-check that your students have turned in all of their past assignments. We have given a lot of grace to students who have had struggles turning in their work. This Friday will be their last chance to turn in lessons, so again, please work with your student to ensure that all work has been turned into their teachers. Using PowerSchool and Canvas are the best means to do this, but if in doubt, contact your child’s teacher. Here is a link to our staff directory and our teachers’ email addresses. We truly appreciate your help in assisting us with your student’s Remote Learning.

POWERSCHOOL ONLINE REGISTRATION

May is HCCSC Online Registration Month and PowerSchool Online Registration for the 2020-2021 school year has opened! All students need to be registered for the new school year by May 31st in order to receive transportation information and their technology device the first day of school, which is Wednesday, August 5, 2020. Due to the current circumstances, we understand that your employment and/or residence information might change before the start of the 2020-2021 school year. We encourage all parents and guardians of current students who plan to attend an HCCSC school in the fall to register their student(s) online as soon as possible. This information is required to determine transportation routes, class sizes, prepare their technology device and enrollment numbers. We will be providing information soon on how to update your student’s information if needed. Parents/guardians should log into their PowerSchool account at: https://ps.hccsc.k12.in.us/public Enter your login information and click the Sign In button. If you experience problems with your username or password, click on the Forgot Username or Password link.

Please do your best to come during your designated time. However, if you must come at a different date/time, this is okay, as we want to be flexible and understanding of your family’s situation. This schedule is meant to accommodate families, yet promote social distancing.

 

Reminders for Retrieval/Drop-off:

  • All school items need to be returned at this time
  • Students will enter Door 1 and exit Door 26 - both doors face the front parking lot
  • Students may wear masks into the building - masks will not be provided
  • Anyone entering the building will be required to sanitize or wash their hands
  • Social distancing will be enforced, so a maximum of 100 people will be allowed in the building at any time - this will be monitored by Crestview staff
    • Staff will be stationed inside the building to monitor social distancing of students
  • Students only in the building to keep numbers down - students will be expected to drop-off and retrieve items as quickly as possible
  • MacBooks must be returned - you may also return them to HNHS
    • MacBook return includes: MacBook, charger, and case.
  • Medication - if your student still has medication at school, parents will need to come into Door 1 and proceed into the front office where our clinic assistant will return the medications to the parent.
  • Please do not congregate in the parking lot - please park with spaces between cars where possible
