Ahoy! Flint Springs Elementary turns into a Pirate's Cove during their Annual Read-a-Thon Fundraiser. Students and staff put reading on the map through dress up days, themed activities and additional time to soak in a good book.
Read-a-Thon is an dristrict-wide effort that raises funds for the schools with a focus on classroom supplies, events, and field trips. Top fundraisers compete for varying awards including; gift certificates to the book fair, gift cards to local businesses and more.
Collective group earnings allow for the ultimate prize, earning the privilege of dunking Mr. Schafer, Mrs. Metzger and Mrs. Dyer! Over $15,000 was raised through the collective efforts of the entire school. Yo-ho-ho!
